    Harold’s Hooligans(of the week):

    Band: Aviator

    Song: Denial Is Despondency

    From T.J. Copello(vocals):

    "This song was written about a close friend who, at the time, was going through a pretty serious identity crisis and depression. Nearly everything described in the song was exactly as I and others observed through the course of a few months before he moved away. I envisioned his apartment, his clothes, his actions, his habits. I envisioned what others had said about him. I told the story in the first person, even though there was no way anyone could ever know what was going on inside his head but him. I did this for a reason. Because to me, it was almost like he was always judging himself as if he were someone else observing his behavior. I wrote what other people thought and felt as a result of his actions, through his eyes. What’s sort of funny about this song was that, at the time I didn’t realize it was sort of foreshadowing the events in my life to come over the next couple years, some I’m still dealing with currently. When I first wrote it, it screamed my friends name, likeness, situation. Now, whenever I play it back, I just see my own."

    Yoooooo this is probably going to be our only area show for a few months, and also probably the last chance you’ll get to see Gates & Frameworks in a small room for a cheap ticket. Both bands are TOO sick

    This is our quadrant of the upcoming 4-way split between us, Native Wildlife, Glass Lungs and Killing Thing. We recorded it a little over a month ago while we were on tour, pretty much live in studio at the University of Southern Mississippi. Kinda different, but we really like it.

    Reblog or you’ll be haunted by a spooky dæmon! We don’t like it either, but we don’t make the rules.

    Taking up our old habit of playing music in front of humans, this time in the vicinity of Worcester, MA with Virginia’s Comrades and Georgia’s Tir Asleen. We’ve heard much praise and have been looking forward to seeing both bands for a long time, not to mention the fine MA/CT locals appearing as well. It’s been a minute since we played Central Mass, so be there or be…somewhere else, having less fun.

    Click through for the Facebook event.

    Reminder that this show is happening on Friday in N. Oxford, MA. Finally playing with our friends in Lesser Men, plus these awesome touring acts and more cool locals that aren’t on the flyer. We may even play a new song (which you’ll hear more about either tomorrow or the next day)…

    Come out, have some fun and bring some loot for the weary travelers.

    PS: The “Penalty Box” is a cooler name for “Crosspoint Christian Church” in case you’re driving by and get confused. Respect the venue or face eternal damnation.

    I’d unmake every plan if I could leave with you. I won’t be worth a thing if I leave this place, but it’s not a home. The first thing you build is never right, and it’s rarely safe.

    While patiently questioning these decrepit surroundings, I have been disproven at every turn.

    Let us not be found until our sun-bleached bones say, “We are at peace.”
    Let us not be found until our sun-bleached bones say, “We are at peace. This is where we chose to love the way our feet touch the ground.”

    We’re doing a 4-way split with some of our best friends: Native Wildlife, Glass Lungs & Killing Thing. This is the first track from it, Native Wildlife’s debut as a 4-piece. More songs (including our contribution) will surface in the coming days, as well as information about immortalizing this baby in vinyl form maybe!!
